Peter concentrates his practice in the area of landlord-tenant litigation in New York City Housing Court, including in holdover and non-payment proceedings in Part 52, for commercial leases; and in civil litigation in contract, and tort matters. He has obtained favorable results for property owners in actions involving damage to property, negligence, design professional malpractice, and enforcement of purchase and sale agreements. He has represented construction contractors in litigation involving alleged prevailing-wage violations and Labor Law injury matters.

Peter has particular expertise in guiding owners of single-room occupancy dwellings through the complicated process of applying for and receiving a certificate of no harassment, as required by the New York City Administrative Code for renovations of such properties. Peter also has extensive experience in representing respondents at the Hearings Division of the New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings and at Part SAP2A of New York City Civil Court, where violations of City codes that are deemed criminal are adjudicated.
