New York State’s Lien Law enables a contractor or materials supplier to place a lien on a property if its owner withholds payment for services or goods. The Lien Law has its own unique procedures for foreclosure and discharge of liens, and for the steps along the way for lienors to press their claims and for owners to defend against them. We represent both property owners and contractors in Lien Law proceedings.
